Born beneath the neons and seismic streets of Tokyo city there has emerged a brave untamed sound. Reverberating across the fault lines with tremors that have not been felt since a similar creature shook our screens and tore through streets not so long ago….But this ain`t no make believe, this real all thriller punk rock veterans “DOINGLIFE”.

96年、 Vo＆GuのKimを中心にスリーピースのスタイルで結成。
以降幾度かのメンバーチェンジを繰り返しながら
オムニバス「SPUNK2」「SPUNK4」「BREAK」などに参加、またKON Recordsから単独音源３作をリリース 。
その後TIGHT RECORDSの所属が決まるが、その後に自身のレーベルを発足させるためにTIGHT RECORDS脱退、
07年に自主レーベル「CADENA DISKOS」を立ち上げ後11曲入りAlbum「OVER THE WALL」をリリース。
09年には5曲入りMini Album「YOU MAKE YOU BUY YOU DIE」をリリース。

海外での活動では米Falcom Recordのオムニバス「GLOBAL PUNK vol2」に参加、
またオーストラリアのレーベル「BRIDGE SOUNDS」からOVER THE WALLがオーストラリア、ニュージーランドのレコードショップにてリリース中。
これまでに米west coastツアーを３回、オーストラリアのメルボルンツアーなど、海外ツアーも定期的に敢行。
国内での活動は、基本的に常にライブに明け暮れる活動で、海外のバンドのオープニングアクトなどの経験も多い。
（９９年にNOFXの長野公演オープニングアクト、０７年にハードコアフェス「MAGMA」参加など）
DOINGLIFEはずっと前から存在していたし、これからも存在し続ける。

It was yet again another chaotic Japan tour this year with Doinglife playing host to Melbourne party boys Madonna. Pancakes on the 39th Floor, touch screen vendors, the words ALL YOU CAN, and so much more. Thanks to all who came out to see a show, a huge thanks to the Doinglife boys for their stirling efforts and hospitality, Everybody’s Enemy for an amazing display that ive sorely missed, and wsz80 (LEF!!) for proving us wrong with Yokohama’s party abilities. It was great to catch up with old friends and make a some new ones along the way. Can’t wait to do it all over again next year. Check our tour blog here

DOING LIFE grand gagnant du concours!

It’s official. DOINGLIFE are the winners of the Japan Rocks competition and are set to play at this years ENVOL et MACADAM festival in Quebec, Canada. Again, a massive thanks to all of those who voted and supported the guys throughout the competition. The band will have the privilege of attending the 15th edition of the Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec City from September 9 to 11, 2010. The grand prize includes airfare for the group, accommodation in Quebec City during the event. This years lineup includes Swedish skate punks Millencolin, Strung Out, Against Me! & more.

Tokyo punk rock insurgents Doing Life return to Australian shores with their distinct brand of old school anthems. Coinciding with the release of their forthcoming EP “You Make, You Buy, You Die”, this fiery three piece battalion have decided to set off their new songs in the streets of Melbourne town.

Catch them at the Arthouse on Friday 20th November with 90′s electro-punks Crettins Puddle for their one off reunion show. Second show just announced on Saturday 21st November at the Tote with the unstoppable King Cannons, and Late Arvo Sons. Back by popular demand, the notorious Miss Tabata returns to the plate with her free Yakisoba BBQ extravaganza in the beer garden.

Guess I should dust off the old tapes and start uploading shows I’ve recorded in the past. Here’s some DOINGLIFE footage from a Revoluction Augo-go party earlier this year at FLAT, Nishiogikubo. Was a heap of fun with Sons of Lee Marvin, Matter, I Think, Vixen!sh and BAD ATTACK (who fucking rule). Good times with the Ku Kids.
