IT’S FOR THE RUDIES, THE RAGGAS, THE ROCKERS AND THE PUNKS. Where does punk rock go after punk rock? Do we have to look backwards to move forward? Who in fact cares? Regent West Doom Box doesn’t give a shit. It’s just a rant about the same evil problems set to the kind of music that happens when fashion goes out the window and it’s just you and the Mac. A reaction to bloated conservative juggernaut which is guitar rock, a reaction to the self serving jaded posturing inherent in new-new-new wave, a reaction to the flagging desperation of dance music, a reaction to the old white men who say “this is how it is or else”, a reaction to the difference between strings and wood and hard drives, It’s what happens when honesty meets artifice after growing up on B.A.D., Happy Mondays, New Order and a bit of Cypress Hill. It’s a blow to elitist fascism and doorlists, and let me warn you right now: YOU ARE NOT COOL IF YOU LIKE THIS. Debut album “Regent West Doom Box” out through Bridge Sounds sooooon.
